The Friends Open is McLemore’s annual golf tournament for our Friends of McLemore.

Grab a partner and register for a fun and exciting season-long golf tournament beginning this April at McLemore. Play and submit your lowest score from any scheduled tournament qualifying rounds and increase your odds to make the final round on August 10, 2023.

Not yet a Friend of McLemore? Once you register for the tournament, you will automatically become a Friend and gain access to McLemore through the seasonal invitations.

April 17th • Qualifying Round

May 29th • Qualifying Round

June 26th • Qualifying Round

July 17th • Qualifying Round

August 10th • Final Round

Players of all skill levels are welcome.

Two-player team event counting one low net per hole
Entry fee: $275 per player (includes greens fee, tee gift, and prize money)
Friends must play in at least one (1) qualifying round prior to the event finals
Various tees will be assigned based on age, gender, and handicap
USGA handicap required (80% of HDCP)

Tournament entry fee of $275/ per player due upon registration. Entry fee includes:

One (1) qualifying round
Golf cart
Entry into final round event (does not include greens fee)
Prize money
Tee gift provided by Duckhead which includes four (4) clothing items customized for the event (sizing options available in registration form).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS THE FRIENDS OPEN ENTRY FEE?

An entry fee of $275 provides each player green fee, cart fee, and Friends Open branded items.

Can I play in more than one qualifier?

Yes, you can play in as many qualifying rounds as you like and submit your lowest score. After the tournament entry fee of $275 fee is paid, each additional round is priced at the green fee as published that day. No additional gifts provided.

WHAT IS THE TOURNAMENT FORMAT?

The Friends Open is a two player tournament with a net low score per team on each hole.

Is lodging a part of this tournament fee?

No, but we are happy to book lodging for you for the Monday qualifier. You can play a practice round the day before at a discount. To inquire about available lodging, please contact the reservations team at 800-329-8154.

Do these qualifier rounds count as my ‘seasonal access’ to play McLemore?

No, you can still use your seasonal pass another time. Rates will be as published online.

How do I know if I make the finals?

We will gather your contact information up front and notify you at least 6 weeks before the final round to let you know if you’ve made it in! We anticipate the top 8 teams from each qualifier will advance to the finals.

What can I expect for the final round?

It’ll be a party! After the tournament wraps, stick around to celebrate with us at our summer concert series. Tournament winners announced during the show.
